Where do you buy your computer hardware?
How many times have you ordered from them? Your thought of their service good or bad? I'll start: I have a friend that has bought several things from www.newegg.com and even has done returns. No problems! Plus the prices are good. My system, I bought from my buddy used and everything in my system was bought at newegg.com |
I just bought a new barton 2500+ athlon, a chieftec blue server case with a see thru side window, an enermax 431w psu, and 2x 256 megs of kingston cas2-2-2-5 hyperx pc2700 DDR from newegg
total cost = $399.97 including shipping it was supposed to be here friday, then monday, and will be here today according to fedex's online tracking system, newegg got my order out the same day, so their part is great so far as long as everything works when it gets here |
I would have to agree with both of you that newegg is one of the better suppliers out there :) I also have a friend who is in the business and gets me the parts I need at wholesale... ;) Lucky me!

i used to get my parts from www.tigerdirect.com, but their shipping has got outrageous. so i started doing online orders at newegg. then get my other parts whenever staples or office depot has free or pretty close to free after mail-in rebates.

I shop at a place called Computergate.com
Good prices, Large inventory, Fair shipping... I have bought there off and on for almost 10 years now, and had NO problems, and probably spent a little over $10,000 in the past 10 years.... By the way, I have about $40,000 worth of computer Junk around my house, I have ALL the receits.... Now, I think it all is worth about .50 cents  I sometimes buy from a place called buy.com, but thier shipping is pricey, and you have to watch for Sales.... Another is a place called telectronics.com... They are actually in KAnsas City, but are reliable, and have good pricing.... I also check CompUSA once in a while for sales... Yeah, I spend a Ton on Computers.... SeeYa :) |
I order my parts from www.mwave.com. Last summer I ordered an AthlonXP 1800+ 256MB PC2700 DDR, Antec full tower case, Coolermaster pure copper heat sink and fan, IWill XP333-R motherboard with oonboard ATA-133, onboard RAID, and onboard 6-Channel Audio with SPDIF connector for less than $500.00 US with shipping to Sicily cause that is where I was stationed at at that point and time. Not a bad deal if I must say so myself.

I order from a variety of different companies depending if they have what I want and the cheapest price including shipping.
Dabs - Very good, fast service, free 1-3 day delivery. Komplett - Excellent for prices, RAM and CPUs a specialty EBuyer - Another place good for prices, reasonable shipping CPUCity - Good for CPUs and Mobos. Reasonable prices. |
Newegg.com here as well.
Got my motherboard, cd burner, heatsink, hard drive, and proccssor from them. All arrived at my door a day early. :) No shipping cost what so ever. And best prices I could find at the time. |
www.pricewatch.com
I have not ordered from them myself but have friends that have and are very happy with them. |
