hi guys,
thanks for clicking my thread and for your time reading my problem. :) I can't stop my brother going online during the day time. he never listens to me. I can't make him a limited user because, for my unluck, he knows what's the difference between an administrator and a limited user. If i make him a limited user, i will be stuffed. :( otherwise it would have been easier to restrict him completely from connecting to the internet. this thread thanks to Sephiroth is how to do that: http://www.betaone.net/forums/index....ST&f=9&t=22324 so i need a different way. something like a setting or a 3rd party software which could prevent users from connecting to the internet for a certain period of time. i browsed thru the whole group policy editor but couldn't find one myself. i am positive there should be some 3rd party software for this purpose. but i couldnt google one either. :( by such a windows setting or a software i dream i could do the following: i configure it, not allowing users to access the dial-up network account from 0630 to 2130. so whenever a user tries to go online, it will say: "access denied. u do not have enough previledges to go online at this time" or something similar. :D thanks very much for your support, yours, ~*McoreD*~ i am using Windows XP Professional SP1. :) |
How about changing the dialup password and not saving it in your profile , then forget to tell him. :)
