The easiest way to create a full-screen capture in Win95, 98 or NT 4.0 is still by pressing the Print Screen key. That action sends a copy of the screen to the Clipboard.To view the capture, select Start/Run, type mspaint and press Enter. Once Paint opens, select Edit/Paste to paste the image from the Clipboard into the Paint window.

What if you don't want the whole screen, just one of the windows?

A variation of Print Screen can be used to accomplish this by pressing and the ALT key then pressing Print Screen (similar to using the shift key).To capture the window you want, click on it to make sure it is "active" (navy blue bar at the top). Then hit ALT-Print Screen. Once again, this copies the image to the clip board.Choose File/Save As to name and save it as a BMP file

to add to this, 98 paint has a lousy way of managing the clipboard. in 98 you need to install the clipboard viewer (only available via custom install or the add remove function). tis best to use photoshop (any version) coz when you open a new window it defaults to the size of the image in the clipboard and its easier to past into it!
