I have an Athlon 800 cpu on a MSI 6191 mobo.....this is a slot based cpu,new Athlons are socket cpu's,so I can't upgrade it the normal way....
I know there are converters slot-->socket,but never found the info if they exist for the "oldest" Athlon(there are 2 versions of an Athlon 800)
Doe some1 knows if they exist for my system????

Hi folks, the slot idea for a Processor was another dumb idea from Intel...It has a track record of being unreliable...Using a ZIF socket is the only way to go. No point in spending more $$$ on slot stuff....:rolleyes: :p
