My brother is having problems with his laptop.
Randomly he gets this error: Windows detected and recovered from a device failure. please save and reboot. he says after he gets the message it looks like he's in Safe mode. So MY assumption is video problem? i told him to run scandisk and defrag right now.. he's in another city so i cant like try a lot of things out and stuffs anyway. its an ECS I-Buddie 928 Intel P4 2.0Ghz 1GB DDR 30GB HD http://www.ecs.com.tw/products/a928.htm |
Has he downloaded anything of late? also seeing as it seems to be a new one does it have the system restore on it so he coul;d go back and reset it? BD

Hi Jessica,
I'm pretty sure this is a driver problem. To fix it, your brother needs to download the latest driver for his video card. You didn't mention which kind of video card he has, so I can't really direct you to a link. But, chances are he can find them at the manufacters website. Hope this helps, - billybob3 |
