I doubt I am the only one annoyed by the fact many sites offer streaming audio in one format - Realplayer.

I religiously refuse to install realplayer. It completly redeifines the term 'bloat'. Not only does it nag at each run for personal information, it installs its 'message center' to bug you with "interesting" alerts from real.

Finally there is a solution:

A freeware compact version of media player with all the realaudio codecs, supporting streaming, etc.

Is there a website that can tell us a bit about this alternative media player? I hate Real too, but don't want to blindly install another media player I know nothing about. Can you tell us anything about this one?

PS Real REALLY sucks! :)

It was on the test versions page on the kazaa lite site. There is a very brief paragraph describing the program but no official site. Theres a quicktime version there too.

Ill post the link as soon as I get on my main pc where I have it bookmarked.

Cause I'm sure you could check any peer app for it.
