Does anyone know where I can get a copy of WinPE (Windows Preinstallation Environment)?
I am not sure if this is a freeware application or if I have to purchase a copy from Microsoft. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! |

BareMetal,
The only "legal" way to get this kit is to order a WXP 3 pack (or greater) from one of Microsoft's licensed distributors. Needless to say this is not cheap. Frankly, it is not very useful unless you are an OEM system builder, nor is it that simple to use. About the only thing it is good for is as a boot CD to setup partitions and format a new drive. However, there are plenty of tools out there to do this job. Tomboy |
Thanks for the info!
