I Have two Hard drive in my computer C D. I put in a new motherboard and cpu and then had to reinstall windows xp from scratch,all went perfect except that i kept all my backup programs on my 2nd drive D.Now when i go to the folder where all the programs where most have them have not got the "setup" file there just all the other files that come with the progam.You can see this in the pic.How come only the setup files are missing from most of my programs ?

Hmm that sounds really wierd! Try scanning the drive with an AV program to make sure that you dont ahve any virii. Sometimes the only files affected or deleted by the virii are .exe and .com files.

This happened to me once before, (a long time ago)...
AS near as I could figure, when the install completes it deletes the temp setup files, including any others it sees...I now store all Windows setup files in a zip file...(just in case I'm right) B)

You didn't just backup the program folder's right? Because if you did, then that explains why there isn't any "setup" files. :blink:
