Does anyone have experience in converting a Plextor Ide CDRW with an Acard scside bridge into a scsi device?

Adodikan 12th Feb 02 02:41 PM

i've never done that and...
i do not have any experience with scsi and...
this might not even help you but at least its a response.
i think and i could be wrong (probably am), when i installed my promise ide controller card it is condidered a scsi device.
and I have removable hdd and a 250 zip drive on it.

--i hope you can sift through that to see if it helps.

Why do you want to do this anyway?

My advise: Stick to IDE

If have quite some (bad) experience with SCSI CDWriters, and since the writer will be the bottleneck the perfomance influence IDE has onyour system isn't important.

I completely disagree with Le Cactus.

SCSI is ALWAYS preferrable to IDE, if you are willing to pay extra.
I take it 100% of the time over IDE for any component.
