Title an description says it. When running thru a slow proxy, modem, a slow machine (read: my laptop), and so on I usually turn off the images. This reborn version of B1 is the (by far) most elegant until now. Then it's a pity the imageholders for some functions don't work as links (hey, you even don't know they are there).

are you talking about the text you would get if an image isn't there? like with for a sig you get user posted image, or the paypal logo you get the paypal text?

Hmm. Well, I run Opera. It's very easy to compare pages with/without pics showed. When pics are turned of the little row of functional buttons Help, Search, Memebers, Calendar in upper right are shown and working. With pics turned on you also get a similar button in every post is shown (Quote and also Edit if it's your own post) together with the two rows (Add Reply, New Topic, New Poll) In no-pic mode I miss theese. How they shall look exactly I don't know, like common placeholders for pics with short text explaining the link? Text-link like Report this Post? Maybe the former.

No panic, I'm happy if you can look into this whenever time is on your side. Now, if that situation ever happen.:)
