Contradictory to a reports today that the recent hype about Service Pack 2 of Windows XP leaking was indeed fake, we bring you information that prooves this build is indeed real. We have Exclusive screenshots that proove this build is indeed a very early SP2 build.

The reason so many might have believed it was fake is because it contains SP1 in it. The digital signature reads:

CN = Microsoft Windows VBL03CA
DC = ntdev
DC = microsoft
DC = com

See below for exclusive screenshot(s)

it has to be slipstreamed on fresh install into 386 folder is what i here

belthazor 3rd Mar 03 11:22 PM

Can it be slipstreamed onto a cd that already has sp1 slipped?

Ditchmonk 3rd Mar 03 11:36 PM

source i don't believe you can....not many changes just seems to harden the code

I am installing this as i type. The cd is exactly the same as the SP1 CD from Microsoft, same lay out, same documentation etc.. The only difference is that the distribution package is labeled xpsp2. The installer main page displays Windows XP SP2 and so far its installing over my XPSP1 corp system.

Installation just failed. "Windows was unable to update the catalog files, your system may now be unusable" :P

Must be an official beta then- probably near to release as well :D
