Longhorn Welcome Screen has a clock which I really like to have in Windows XP. Well another thing I am expecting to have is different resolution setting for each user. I dunno whether it is possible though. :)

I'd like to select all picture files to be displayed as thumbnail, not just the pictures in the MY PICTURES folder. Of course I can correct this now using another software program, but I shouldn't have to.

Oh and also this was wondering me:
You know that from Services we can disable a certain user group or a use from shutting down the system right? But I reckon the way now is useless because: even though won't get the Turn Off button in his Start Menu, he could easily log off or switch user and shut down from the Welcome Screen. This is really annoying, as I can't stop some of my Limited Account users shutting down this computer. So my suggestion is, once we disable the Shutdown for a particular user, the Shutdown cannot be displayed for him, not at least in the Welcome Screen. I hope this would happen in the next O/S. :) |

Or are you referring to that filmstrip view only My Pictures has? |
I want the next version of windows to work when i install it and not to have over a 1000 hotfixes inside the first 6 months after they release it :P
A greater range of drivers incorporated into the install would be nice as well- its a pain in the ass hunting round for a 17kb driver for a piece of hardware that has been around for quite a while |
I would like the next release to be able to monitor my Air Conditioner and adjust as needed, make coffee in the morning, change diapers, walk the dog, handle verbal commands, predict successfully winning lottery numbers, rub my wife's feet (so I don't have to), pass Martin's driving exam for him and bring me a martini, shaken not stirred..... :D :P

Ok. Me back again with two new wishes. I will mention my first two wishes anyway. :)
1. different resolution setting for each user 2. once we disable the Shutdown for a particular user, the Shutdown cannot be displayed for him, not at least in the Welcome Screen. I hope this would happen in the next O/S -- this can be done in Local Security Policy 3. schedule options to connect/disconnect in dial up network connections 4. ability for more than one user to log on to a single computer via network -- this is getting true in Windows XP SP2! 5. ability to present a report of what programs each user was running before the last BSOD |

choose Photo Album (suitable for few files) > and then press OK. unless the user the manually put back Film Strip on in My Pictures, it should be noticed that Film Strip in My Picture disappears eventually as more pictures are being added to the folder (i am not sure after how many pictures it happens). |
