I believe it is a universal fact that you can't keep both your computer and wife happy at the same time. Wives hate computers, I reckon.

Your wife may have said something ironical or sarcastic, when she sees you infront the computer most of the time.

When my wife hears the name of an old girlfriend or BetaONE, I still get the same look. It's even worse when she hears a page come through Yahoo instant messenger, because a friend wants to just say, "Hi" or ask me a question.

Your going to marry that computer one day!
I'd like to think she's better than most in this area. After all I have the computers setup in the livingroom and within easy view of everything but the bedrooms. She just don't like to share me with anybody/anything. I'd like to think that's TRUE LOVE!

Married 9 years this June and recently she had our 4th child. It's a busy house around here with a newborn, 2yr, 4yr & 6yr old. So I'm sure all of you will understand if I'm in a hurry to post something or slow at sending a reply.

Fully understood KC and if it's any consolation I am in a similar "true love" situation with my wife :D :D :D

And before I die because I can't do what I like, I bought a computer in 1999 and I'm shure this pc save my life ;)

My wife totally agree with me in this bad situation

I am a lucky one. My wife is currently in school taking her A+ , MCSE, Linux and Novell. And we have more than one computer; which definately helps a whole lot.

Well, I too am an exception to the "wife hates pc" rule..

My sweetie has been MIS director for Waste Mgmt, Van Kampen Investments, Encyclopedia Britannica, and more..
Needless to say, computers are integrated in everything we do; plus, she doesn't mind, AND understands if I feel like playing on the pc for hours on end...

I know there are not many like her, and I know how lucky I am to have her!

Well.. so far women that I have met have hated computers. Even members of the helpdesk.

To all who are married and their wives hate computers.........help her understand that things are advancing so fast in this world that computers are almost a have to have, but please explain it very gently. Then build her one of her own and leave it alone, after making sure she cam use it correctly. Don't fuss at how slow she is ........just give her time and she just may be better than you.
Put simple games on it, nothing hard to start with. Slow and easy always does the best.

Oh by the way my wife likes her computer, she even goes to the computer shows and we find things that she and I both like. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones, but I found out long time ago that her opinion DOES matter.
