[NEWS: Information received through the grape vine]
Here's some useful information for the people who use p2p networks: I don't know i fyou know but recording studios have "robots" which are checking and identifying ip ranges on p2p networks which fileshare (upload/download) PPL BLOCK THESE IPRANGE IN UR FIREWALLS!!: These are the "dangerous" IPranges. They monitor p2p networks in an attempt to harvest IP's/upload files from file-sharers and then report the user to their ISP. Thanks for the news. What I find funny is that even the people that swear they don't steal anything, most have the Devils Own CORP version WinXP and download tunes P2P.
I was helping at a small church school and they had Win98 on about 10 computers. I asked about their licence and they said they applied for a FREE one, but had not heard back from M$. I would guess they are still waiting. |
Hmm, interesting I haven't seen any updates to this in a few days... any new info? Also most hardware firewall/routers don't give you the flexability to block ip's individually or in a range like that, so are you using software firewalls to make this happen? If so what do you find to be the best? i.e.
Black ice, zona alarm, norton? What? |
Try this little item already loaded:

Very interesting Server....... have you tried this one? Anyone else? I'll have to give it a look myself.
If any others have reviewed it please post your findings.... |
I hope this is for real. 39 new general rules in the firewall took a while to get correct...:)
Thanks! |
