does it matter if its isa or pci, any different speeds or anything i need to know about the two? I assumed pci is better but don't know for sure. I am going to be using it to hook up a zip100 drive. also if anyone knows where to get a pci card for under $40 tell me please. thanks.

PCI is better and a bit faster. PCI devices share IRQs vs ISA doesn't.

Hello

PCI is definetly faster then an ISA controller, but sinse your using it to hookup an Iomega ZIP drive the speed doesn't really mather. In all cases the controller can handle the very slow speed of the ZIP drive. A faster controller won't speed up your ZIP drive.

If your looking to buy an new IDE controller, your should buy a PCI controller however. You might use it for harddisk in the future.
If you own an ISA controller right now, don't bother buying a new PCI controller.

Hope this help you,

Cheers,

Le Cactus
