Office 2002 was retailed as Office XP.
The next office started as Office NGO (next generation office) then codename Office 11, Office .NET and as of Beta 2 will be released as Office 2003.

It figures...

Like M$ always does they seem to tend to design the naming of therwise none relate products to look alike. Windows 2003, Exchange 2003 and now Office 2003. I would be suprised is Longhorn ended up being called Windows XP 2003 eventualy ;)
