I have tried Eudora and the Bat......out the 2 The bat is the best, but I do like Outlook, and have just installed incredimails addon for it........so far so good........ foxmail is supposed to be good.........but in the end they all do the same job, its just the security question, and I think the Bat is supposed to be one of the tops

billybiker, am i understanding this right, you are using the the new beta add-on by incredimail for outlook? if so, how is it? Is it any better than just using incredimail? |
I'd use the add-on for Outlook...but I'm already using Incredimail...been using it for a couple years now...
Looks like a decent add-on.... |
Use Agent(www.forteinc.com).
Bad thing is, the free version doesn't do email, just nntp. But, it does have new mail notification. |

You might like to have a look at this one. Includes a mail server, and remote server access. And it's free!
Seems to be compatible with Outlooks, but I haven't got around to trying it yet Foxmail: Internet Mail Client ĦĦĦĦFoxmail is one of the most popular Internet email client, especially in China, more than 3 million people are using Foxmail to handle their email everyday, and the English version is also widely used in more than 20 countries. ĦĦĦĦFoxmail is rated as 5 STAR software by ZDNet. Main Features * Compact yet powerful * Remote mail management, downloads/deletes emails directly from the mail server * Local mailbox with encryption feature and address book * Hotmail proxy to receive email from Hotmail as POP3 server * Compose HTML format email with WYSWYG, and read HTML email * Support multiple accounts, each account with independent setting * Import/Export mails from/to Microsoft Outlook, Exchange, etc * Mail-Express Service (email is delivered to the destinationĦŻs mailbox directly without any SMTP server relaying) * HTML/Text email templates, full customizable * Rolling bar for new coming emails * English spelling Checks * Automatic email address typing completion * And much moreĦ* _http://fox.foxmail.com.cn/english.htm |
i'd strongly reccomend that you overcome your boredom...
M$ prods including Outlook present the usual shitty security leaks that (it seems almost done on purpose...) are afterwards corrected by Windows Updates... and obviously as you use the OS those numerous Uncle Bill'$ nephews with strange names --- svchost, ntostkernel & wtf.. --- are always trying to call home when you're connected.... just set the configs of your firewall to asking mode for all apps trying to connect and you'll see... IMHO you don't need anymore lil' buggers trying to report to Digiportal, Eudora, Trillian' makers & whatnot your every move...besides helping to cramp your surfing capabilities... I personally stick to Mailwasher that is lightweighted, free, easily manageable and not curious, and then use the mail client embedded in the OS... only my opinion of course... |
By Far the best E Mail Notifier is EPrompter. It does POP#,Hotmail,Yahoo, etc. The only one I found that does. Can customize each program. You can preview the mail so if there is an exe you can read the mail and don't have to worry about opening it. You can delete it from server on EPrompter. Great way to play it safe with Outlook.
