I know that many people wondering how to setup an FTP server, so I took some sparetime creating this little tutorial for you guys.
Go here: [color=blue:1b92b770d2]http://w1.859.telia.com/~u85915441/web/index.htm[/color:1b92b770d2] if you are interested on how to start one. ;) Hope you manage to get it right. Good luck! [i:1b92b770d2]The graphics can be quite heavy the first time, gonna fix that later on some day[/i:1b92b770d2] |
not bad man... pretty simple and to the point... the graphics look pretty nice for the most part.. but yes, they do considerably slow down the page loading. Would like to see what more you could do with this.
Keep up the good work :) |
Nice look. I would like to get more details though. There are f eks a lot to say about user permissions and groups, upload dirs, also "anonymous user" should be discussed I think.
Another thing, what is Agile and TWR? .unicorn |
Well, I´m working on a part II of it so more details will come.
But the link that are included at the bottom of the last page are also a very good link to find more about the details. :) Agile & TWR are two communities my friend. |
You obviously spent a great deal of time putting together the site.........Well done........
The page did take a while to load even with ADSL!!!!!!! Look forward to part 2....... I use BulletFTP myself........ Easy to setup and use........... |
BBR: A second part would be great!
The link you mention is allright, but is also is nothing else but the help pages that comes with G6. Imho a tutor should say something else from the inbuilt help, right? I think that a second part, and maybe a third one also, that discusses more tricky things (mentioned above, plugins, tips and tricks, also more ftp-tips in general) should become very popular. .unicorn |
Well I guess that I have to say that this is not an [b:ec50cc0364]Tutorial[/b:ec50cc0364], this is an [b:ec50cc0364]How to[/b:ec50cc0364] guide... There are a big differens....
But I´m gonna create another (new) detaild [b:ec50cc0364]Tutorial[/b:ec50cc0364] (not an how to guide) in time with all the info you can imagine... incl. how to config a firewall etc. I´ll be back with more goodies... ;) |
Allright, it´s not a tutor yet...:)
I should appreciate a sneak preview..., no more like this: I am behind a router at home and when I run G6 it seems as I have to manually put my official ip in Setup-->Main-->Multi IP Settings. Is that the proper way to do it, or can I make G6 find out by itself somehow? ----------------------------------------------- ps Doesn´t matter now. I threw it out. |
Nice one BBR
that helped me to sort a couple of things out. |
thanks
