I found this in my C:\Windows folder (I use Windows ME). the file name is NOHIBER.TXT. i had this information
I have a Creative SB Live! DF80 (CREATIVE EMU10K1 AUDIO PROCESSOR WDM). What shopuld i have to make my machine to get the Hibernate Option in Windows ME..i dont want to shutdown everytime.

I have no problem with the same card in xp. Any ideas/suggestions on this?

first... try a driver upgrade (if u havent allready... :D )

then i would do a registry backup, and then wipe that vxd entry of there, do a reboot and check if it works ( both sound card and/or hibernation, hehe) ;)

Is there a way to find out the driver from the net i mean i have only these informations..

Or else i need to remove it from my system and then need to find out

sorry m8 :( DF80 doesnt give anything out of sblive site...

you' ll have to see what exact card it is... ;)

then go to www.sblive.com and get it :)

i checked my card. IT is Creative SB Live! 5.1 Model number SB0100. I am not able to find the latest drivers for ME for this one

i downloaded the driver from driverguide.com but no luck. :(

i never got hibernation to work in me with any sb live installed in system. didnt matter what driver i installed. same exact thing happened to me each time.

then i gues i should forget Hibernate in ME. this sucks

thanks kamikazee for the link but none of them helped me in getting the "Hibernate" Tab in Windows ME. IT is due to teh audio card drivers
