Does anybody use this, booting into dos??
I have looked for a tutorial, or step by step guide for using it in dos. Would like to hear from someone who has used it in dos successfully Thanks |
Great program, I have used Drive Image and Ghost before but this one is in my opinion better. The main reason I find this one the best is its compability with W2K Servers. When it comes to booting from dos you either run it from a single boot CD or 4 floppy disks. Thereīs a Bootable Rescue Media Builder where you make the boot CD or floppy disks. Hereīs some info including a user guide:
http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/ Try it! :) |
thanks
I have looked at the manual, but i do not think it says anythin about using it in dos |
This one is better than Drive Image ?? Are you shure ?

@Bads - Iīm using this in W2K Advanced Server and Drive Image wonīt run in it. I guess for workstations maybe Drive Image is better. One bad thing in Acronis is that you cannot check the integrity of an image. I havenīt had a bad one so far but it would be a good feature to be able to check it like in Drive Image. |
to flshpanhunter...
I want to make an image of my C: drive, and then be able to restore it. I want to do this from Dos, rather than from Windows. I have used Ghost many times, but some say that True Image is better thanks |
Right, when booting from the rescue CD you have the option to either restore or make an image. :)

Thanks for the info flashpanhunter ;)
