Ok. I install 2k pro then go to intstall SP 2 (or sp3) and after it installs (either one) and I reboot. I get a BSOD and says a boot device was not found. I install the SP as almost the first thing I install (other security fixes). The SP2 I have on cd (and is known good (have used on other systems fine)) and SP3 is from the M$ update site.
Any thoughts?? Indy |
If you have multiple partitions on your master hard drive the service packs may be intalling some needed files to the wrong drives. This happened to me with one of the XP beta SP1's.

Were you asked to update certain third party drivers? If so, tell it "NO".
What you also might do is install the service pack, without rebooting after installation. Then expand the drivers from your ide/scsi controller again from the original Win2K CD-Rom. Looking at the properties of your harddisk controller will tell you witch files to expand exactly. |
Ok. I'll give that a try
Thanks Indy |
