My machine just started rebooting while I was rendering. Couldn't get it to boot into regular mode or safe mode. So I did a restore from ghost, still same thing. Unhooked all drives (except c) and pulled all cards except the video. Still same thing Tried to do a repair with XP disk and blue screen. Tried to do complete install and blue screen, this time has message.
Exception 0X0000007E (0XC0000005 0XF799F8B9 0XF7C8029C 0XF7C7FF97)
DISK.SYS
F799F8B9 base at F799D00
tried to look this up at MS with no luck. Anybody give me some ideas where to go next. HAve even formatted drive fat32 and ran a scandisk with no problems., Don't know what to check next.

Thanks
HotRod

disk.sys would mean errors trying to access / read or write to your hdd.... :(

can you try putting another hdd in there and restore the ghost image to it and see what happens?

Think I got it. After mulitple times of making partions, formatting and then deleting partions it started a clean install. Shut down, went to bed and this morning imaged back the drive. Have been running a couple hours now. Maybe time to get a new main drive.

Thanks Sephiroth for replying
