I sometimes get more strange errors mate. Sometime the server says: I haven't enabled ident, but actually it is enabled. When I try again, it works. I think you don't wanna worry. Just be patient. I think it will fix by the time. Try again later. :)

Isn't it irc.holics.net? You wrote rc.holics.net...

Hola

There is 2 holics servers the main one is irc.holics.net 6667 (Port) and irc.hawaii.holics.net 6667. The last one was down for maintenance yesterday. Both are working fine today.
