Albatron Technology unveiled its most recent Turbo class graphics accelerator, the Ti4680P Turbo. Joining an existing series of high performance Turbo cards, the Ti4680P Turbo with its AGP 8x, surpasses its predecessors in terms of efficiency and performance while maintaining a conservative pricing structure. With its overclocking potential and reliable stability, this card is projected to be a sure favorite for video gamers.
The Ti4680P Turbo employs nVidia?s Ti4200-8X GPU, whose AGP 8x provides 2.1 gigabyte/second transfer rates, twice the throughput of predecessor AGP 4X cards. The Ti4680P Turbo is also designed with an eight layer PCB and a specialized extra large copper fan providing stability by neutralizing electrical interference and providing maximum heat dispersion. As for the memory, the Ti4680P Turbo uses eight, 3.3 nanosecond memory chips with a total capacity of 128 MB (128 bit). Each memory chip is fitted with a heat sink which becomes especially advantageous when dissipating heat from overclocking. The Ti4680P Turbo card performed exceptionally well after running the ?3DMark2001 SE? testing utility, registering a total score of 11,774 (Note 1). This card comes feature packed supporting Microsoft?s DirectX 8.1 along with Microsoft?s popular operating systems including Windows XP, 2000, NT, ME, 98 and 95. Also, a built in nVidia nifinteFX II Engine allows for a virtually infinite number of special effects that takes you to new heights in 3D graphics and 3D realism. There are also many other technical features such as Lightspeed Memory Architecture II, and Accuview Antialiasing. And certainly not least, is the Ti4680P Turbo?s support for DVI (Digital Video Interface) and TV-Out. In today?s high priced video card market, Albatron?s Ti4680P Turbo performance/price ratio gives customers the most bang for their buck! The performance of Ti4680P Turbo is comparable to Ti4600 based cards, and computer gamers will marvel at its uncanny consistent stability while operating at unprecedented performance levels. Note 1 ? Test Environment - AMD? Athlon? 2700+CPU - Albatron KX400-8x mainboard (supports AGP 8x) - 512 MB of memory - Operating system - Windows XP. - 3DMark2001 SE testing software The test results from the ?3DMark2001 SE? utility showed that the Ti4680P Turbo scored 11,774 at a resolution of 1024x768. In contrast, the Ti4600 scored 12,361 for a performance difference of only 5%. ![]() Actually the card is about the same with the Albatron Ti4200P Turbo except for the AGP transfer rate, which is AGP8X for the Ti4680P Turbo and AGP4X for the Ti4200P Turbo.
