I have recently started to use Mandrake 8.1. On shutdwon (or restart) Mandrake freezes. I never had this problem with Mandrake 8. I have since got a cable modem. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did Madrake susccesfully installed your Video Card? Its sometimes a problem....

Install went perfectly, it's just the shutdown that is a bit buggered up. I even installed it a good 5 times to make sure it wasn't a buggy install!

There must be a conflict somewhere the best thing you can do is to go back to 8.0 I think... :(
