I am stuck. I have 2 40G hard drives that I want to span, and access both using only one drive letter. (This is for my parents, so I want it to appear as simple as possible to them.)

I made both disks dynamic, but I can not extend the volume. I can extend/stripe the 8mb unallocated space, but not the actual 38000+mb on drive 0.

Anyone have any ideas? I cant figure this out and i am gonna go insane soon

Apparently (if anyone is interested) extending a volume with the os/boot on it is not permitted :( So in order to make one huge drive I am going to install xp on a 5G partition, and extend the remaining 35G to the other 40G drive.

Yup,

I made that same mistake once to. Had to dig into my course books to find that fact. Never understood why this is the case, since it seems a logic thing to want.

Anyways, you beat me to answering your question :)
