If someone can tell me how to overclock a CDROM, how glad I might be! I own a Sony CDU5211 CDROM (40X and 52X max)

You cannot overclock CD-Roms! The only way possible mey be through customized firmware hacks, which is very rare as they are available for only select CD-Writers!

Well said DeadMan. You can OC only CD Burners not CDROMs. :)
Peeps say it is OCed, but I also think like DeadMan said, they are also firmware hacks. :unsure:

Not true. Though overklocking for cd-roms have occoured, its done by opening it, and switching a switch the manufacturer left.
Though that is more uncommon than overclockable cd-burners.
