I've been using WS_FTP Pro for a while now to upload/download to some sites with good success. BUT - it doesn't seem to function when I try to use it with a number of ftp sites here. Typically, I'll receive an error message like this:
! Can't get "ftp://xxxxxxxx.xxx.com/" host entry
! Connection failed ftp://xxxxxxxx.xxx.com/

where the "x's" are the correct info for the site.

And I'll have the remote port data set to whatever the access port is listed as.

Anyone have an insite into what I can try or do to ?

The latest version of WS_FTP Pro is 7.02. If that is not what you are using, it might be worth a try. I have not used this proggie for a long time, but would be interested in knowing if it can do the job. I suspect problems if any, would have to do with the "Firewall" stuff that folks are using now.

My version is 6.6 and I use Zone Alarm, but WS_FTP is "OK'd" through it, and I can download/upload at varous sites. Just not with the fpt links that are listed for test.
