How do I figure out the IP address of my computer?
Help appreciated. Cheers! |
go to start menu> run>
type winipcfg (if you use win98) or ipconfig (if you use win2k/XP) from there you should know your ip |
i need to type "cmd" in the run dialog to get a dos box and there "ipconfig" to make the information readable...

If u are behind a router the IP returned will be
the PC IP not the Internet IP from your ISP. In this case try: http://megawx.aws.com/support/faq/software/ip.asp [ November 15, 2001: Last edited by VP ]</p> |
Also if you run G6/BulletProofFTP and press go on line "lighting" sign. It will tell you your IP. Or press "statistics" button on the toolbar, in the popup windows you will see "your (IP's): ....".
