I just setup ServU-2.5 on WInXP

zonealarm as firewall and XP in house firewall !

using port 27015 and has tried other ports

My friend can't even ping my FTP server

Yes I have set incoming and out going UDP/TCP in zonealarm to port 27015 etc

Question Is winXP firewall stuff the server
How can I set it ?

P/S :I have tried the server on LAN on WinMe (dual boot) .. no problem !

Maybe try disabling your xp firewall?

I use Serv-U ftp in XP :D

I have two firewall NeoWatch 2.4 and Norton Internet Security 2002 v4

When I start my Serv-U, I have to disable NeoWatch and let Norton running :D

And I don't use the firewall built in XP ;)

I actually use port :27105 and my ISP told me this port not permitted..

Changing to port 4455 works

with XP firewall activated!
and use zone alarm as well..

Just an ISO with full bandwidth takes 5-8 hours !

Try using a port number that is used for internet gaming, this way your ISP won't bother you or disconnect you.
