I need some advice from a patient member regarding an FTPclient program. To begin with all I wish to do is set it up to recieve image files(later I would like to be able to share what I have as well). So, would "Smartftp" be a good choice or perhaps ws_ftp? To be honest I tri-
ed smartftp but could not get it to connect(likely through my ignorance)and have since removed it from my pc. I have a cable connection, a PackardBell pc w/ an AMD K6-2 500mhz cpu, 128Ram and win98se installed. So if any one has the time to sort of stear me through this I would be hugely grateful.

As far as FTP clients CuteFTP and SmartFTP http://www.smartftp.com/ are easy to use.
If you're talking about setting up a server whatever one you can setup and get to do what you want is the best. I like GUILDFTP http://www.nitrolic.com/ Whatever you're trying to do will be happy to help you get figured out.

I think you are wanting to set up a server for uploads, then share once you have established yourself. Fair enough!

You will need server software. Check your PM.
