I've got a PC2700 512MB ram on my Asus A7V8X board. I have an extra PC 2100 512 MB ram chip. Can I mix that with the PC 2700?

Bad idea?!

I think they will work together but only with the speed of the 2100. Bad idea? Well, the 2700 won´t operate at its full capacity...

Yeah I agree with flashpanhunter. If you feel having 512MB PC2100 better than 256MB PC2700 then go ahead, man. Poor me, I only have 192MB RAM :(
