BeOS is real the only Alternative to Win-XP. All another (Lindows,linux) you can forgotten. Many Peoples work on the basis BeOS 5.03 PE (or Prof.) and hav this verry good fixed.
Teh another team with the max.Edition 2.1 (Max and Mini-Verison) is also good.

btw: this is by far the fastest to install / boot OS I have tried, and it's all graphical so even a newbie can make it :)

believe me, i have tried beos. yes, its fast, stable and all that, but since i cant even get colors since my graphics card havent got beos drivers i cant use it.

if i wanted beos i'd go for blue eyed os.

the reasons why i want to use something else than windows is cuz i wanna run some types of servers, and such software isnt as good in beos as it could be.
