IS the sb live value soundcard 5.1 compat?

Quick Questions lead to other Questions. Are you asking if it is compatible with WinXP out of the Box? Does WinXP know how to install it correctly? Are there Drivers from Creative that make the card work correctly? If not when, if ever, will there be a solution? One thing for sure is quite a few folks are having problems with this hardware.

I wasnt asking for drivers...I was askin if a sound blaster live value card supports 5.1 techology for 5.1 speakers

I believe there are 2 versions of the value card one with 5.1 support and 1 without.

This has got to be the Longest Quick Question I have ever come across. I had a look at the Sounblaster Website. The address is www.soundblaster.com where you will find something like 9 types of Soundblaster Live! bundles listed. Some indicate 5.1, others do not. Some support Addon Cards others don't. There is a mixture of Analog and Digital stuff. I even found mention of 7.1. In some ways it depends on what you connect the sound card to if 5.1 will happen or not.
