hi, just asking a stupid question (if it is stupid :)).
when some programs are uninstalling they ask to restart and you accidently press 'yes'. oh no, shit you loose the internet connection or something like that. is there a way to stop restarts or shutdowns, after you give the command to shutdown? ctrl + alt + del seems no help here. :( lucky i had my outlook xp open. i uninstalled zone alarm and there was the 'okay' button to restart. i just pressed it and it started to restart :o forunately, after closing other other programs, a messege box popped up saying "please close all the outlook programs before restart". so i pressed 'ok' and i am fine again :) i'd have lost the internet connection if it restarted. lucky eh :D not a bfd though, just thought to ask if it is possible :) thanks for your time.... |
bring up a command prompt and type shutdown -a , should work :)
