Yep, bean there, done it and bought a new burner :o
I overclocked my Lite-On 40x to 48x and it worked for aprox one month, after that, no go at all from the burner. You couldn't read from it and write to it, I tried to apply the original firmware, but still no go :( So I had to buy a new one.
So my advice be carefull out there, when you're overclocking your burner ;)

Of course any o'clocking is always a risc !!!!
But I have read somewhere that the 48x was just an o'clocked 40x
But anyway, for the people want to take that risc
