i have about 10 DTS/dolby 5.1 sound files and i want to convert them to wavs to put onto cd what is the best program for this.
Thanks |
Did a search on google.com and found alot of links to do this. I was impressed with the following link:
_http://www.mp3-cdburner.com/X2CD-Music-CD-Burner.shtml Looks like this is what your looking for. Good luck and let us know if it works, might try it myself then. :) |
the Windows Media Encoder 9 does what you want.
it preserves your Dolby Digital quality while compressing it to a smaller file. :) try it and see! http://download.microsoft.com/downlo.../WMEncoder.exe EDIT: Just killing live links |
thanks both for your help i'll have a look at both and then let you know the outcome
Cheers |
i used the x2cd to convert them and they where fine i could not figure out how to do the conversion in media player but i will look into it more when i get time
Thanks |
yea, the configuration setting in the media encoder is not that much simpler, i know :(
since i havent got a DVD ROM yet, pity i cant check it. it is something to do with Windows Media Audio 9 Professional. looking forward for someone who has done it. |

it is the media encoder ! i doubt you have to select the VOB file showing all files, and browsing for the file when it is in the DVD. there is a Quick Start tab in the media encoder, and there is Encode a film - or somthing like that. i think it is better to have the first shot using that. :) as i haven't got a DVD ROM, what i did was, i decrypted a VOB file from my coz and burnt it to a CDRW and brought it here. i got error messages when i tried to convert. i think it is cos it is decrypted or something. i am not sure  |
