Hi !!!

Rash here. I'm using a SBLive! Platinum 5.1 Sound card. My OS is WinXP corp. Can anyone please tell me how I can get multi-channel surround in XP. The Driver CD that came with the card does not install on XP. Can anyone plase help me.

*** Do the Audigy Drivers for XP work with the normal SBLive! 5.1 cards ? Please gelp me out. :confused:

here are some things that you can try. first, check windows update to see if you have the latest driver (because there have been a couple posted there.) also, are you setting the multi-channel under sounds and audio devices in control panel? lastly, there was a beta driver just released that is under setember 21 on this site http://www.fdrsoft.fr.fm/ not sure about the last one though. give it a try. (btw, the official winxp drivers will be released mid-late october. good luck!

Hi, Rash. I use the same OS & SoundBlaster Live! 5.1. I didn't install anything, the drivers came with XP. But I have something which may be will work. I downloaded it a weak ago from NTcompatible WebSite, I couldn't find it there now to give you the link. They said in review, that this is LiveWare for WinXP, also that it's the same as Win2K one, but it just compatible with XP. I have it, but I didn't try it yet. If you give me FTP where I can upload it, I'll do it tomorrow. It's 87MB file. So decide... Contact me by PM. Will be online in the evening GMT.

I maybe wrong :( but don't the Windows XP Plus pack have a update for Dolby Surround / Digital 5.1 for the SB Live range of cards??

The drivers that come with WinXP will actually work, but the new drivers from Creative should be out by now.

the new drivers for xp are as follows....http://www.soundblaster.com/support/winxp/ .....they contain drivers, the sb live mixer and the sb live audio hq.

The new drivers work well, her are the direct links.
