Here is the story, I was talking with a guy from there, and he tell me that he can't buy a beer on sundays in the place where he lives  ... He is from Alabama. Its that true?. Its that possible?. In the most free country on earth?.
That surprice me... A lot :o
Its like the movie called Escape from LA. I recommend that movie.

That "prision" is the only place in USA where you can live free...

here is the important part of the movie when the cop say:

You're gonna have to learn to respect the law.
The United States is a no smoking nation.
No smoking, no drinking
do drugs, no women unless you're married,
no guns, no foul language

Its a movie... Or not? .

BTW, I dont like beers. To me have a bad taste. Aggghhh. I dont likes... But many people likes, and they are free to drink it if they wants... It not a problem for me :D.

This is true, somewhat. I live in Tennessee. I don't drink myself, but I know plenty of people that do. Here in TN, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other states around here, you can't buy beer on Sundays before 12pm. It has to do with church I believe. IMO, it's a pretty stupid law.

BTW, Escape From LA was a great movie, as was Escape from New York ;)

Man am I happy to be living here. . . Hate to miss out on all that. Well, most of it anywayz!

Although a new law prevents anybody under the age of 16 to buy sigarettes. They even changes all sigaret-machines so you can only use them with your credit card, witch has to be upgraded for sigaret-machine use.

Things just keep getting better and better here . . .

Some cities in Texas ban the sale of ALL Alchohol 24-7!!!! And state-wide, Sunday is Beer and Wine ONLY after 12:00.

yeah it's true...where I live they banned liquor sale on Sundays for awhile then about 4 years ago, someone realized that since most people just drove over the state line to get some, they were losing business so they changed the law (stores opens at 10).

Shiromagius 6th Nov 02 10:28 AM

In a town about 20 minutes from me, they have banned all alcohol in the city, any time of day. It is a complete dry city. Its kinda weird to think that, but its true.

Not only can you not buy beer on sunday in Chattanooga (Hamilton County), TN it is against the law for stores to open before noon on sunday, even the 24 hour stores have to shut down for 12 hours between 12:00am on sunday and 12:00pm on sunday, yes even wal-mart. Talk about your "blue" laws.
