Hmm...seeing that Rage3D is down (again) I'll post it here. :D
Currently I run my Radeon 64DDR OEM (166/166) at 200/200 without *any* additional cooling and it does get quite warm after a couple minutes of use, and I'm thinking about tweaking it a little higher. Can anyone recommend a good HSF? EDIT: Dammit, I posted it in the wrong section, sorry. Can a mod please move this to the hardware forum? [ August 22, 2001 07:25 PM: Last edited by SuperSonic2K3 ] |
you won't need it
all you'll need is some top notch RAM Sinks I just installed some today, but stupid old me only got for half the ram (the kit was for a 32mb model :) ) so I didn't notice any difference |
:) Your poor Radeon... You want your money's worth don't you UndaC mate.
I guess you heard about my pear shaped BIOS flash ;) Nevermind, a 4Mb PCI cirrus logic saved my bacon for the re-flash of the old BIOS. I just overclock to 183/183 (Retail) on start-up now. |
Always keep those old videocards handy. :) An old Voodoo3 3000 saved my @$$ when my Radeon LE to 32DDR flash screwed up and I had to end up getting a new card. :)

I fine it strange that ATI don't post BIOS updates on their website.
Maybe is just to risky for the average person  My Matrox G400 Max has BIOS updates posted. |
ATI doesn't make BIOS revisions
flashing to an SE is flashing it to a mode wich is not supported by my RAM ns it can just about handle it, I just need to cool the RAM another 2-3 degrees celcius and it should be fine |
