just want everyone to know that msn messenger 5.0 is officially avaibable for download now at messenger.msn.com :)

other than the fact that you cannot hide/delete those stupid TABS on the left hand side (either i'm blinkd or there's no such options), i really don't see how much different it is from the previous 4.7 versions.

if someone knows how to get rid of those annoying tabs under win2000, oh dear god please reply or pm me, lol.

have fun!

to get rid of the tabs ... go to your menu bar ... tools ... show tabs ... and untick any that are ticked ... the tab bar will go away ... theres also a thingie at the bottom of the tab bar for unticking.

Huh? Where? I don't have that option!

oopps, i lied ... i run windows messenger with the msn add in .... it does pretty much the same thing as msn messenger as far as i can tell, but the tabs are a bit different and they are optional ... but i guess you could switch from msn messenger to windows messenger is the tabs are that annoying, lol

Only way I've found to get rid of them is to goto:>

TOOLS > OPTIONS > PRIVACY and check the box 'This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs'.

Then Sign out and in and they be gone. :D

I would be looking forward to an update of MSN Messenger Plus! to get rid of this.
This is how it is advertised in instant messaging:

I'm currently using the Messenger - Plus! Extension. I suggest you to try it at http://www.patchou.com/msgplus/download.htm. Of course, this is a free software :)
