HP passes IBM in server market share as segment booms
 

Talks of recession and the skyrocketing price of oil may have Americans watching the economy anxiously, but according to Gartner's report on server revenues through the first quarter of 2008, that segment of the market is still running strong. Both server shipments and server revenue grew in Q1 2008 by 7.6 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively, as Hewlett-Packard overtook IBM in worldwide server market share.
