i guess it wont be so much long years till Linux starts competing Windows for 'quote-market'.
OPTIONS is good :D |
A very good article. Thanks for the link.
I've been running RedHat since version 5.1 and am very happy with it. Mandrake seems to be a good distro. |
Thanks for the link. I have been meaning to run RedHat, but the article makes a good argument to try out Mandrake.
Thanks again. |
Very good article!
I used to have both the latest Redhat and Mandrake installed as guest Virtual Machines with VMware on my Windows 2000 host at home. This time I only install the Mandrake 8.1 Virtual Machine because it has given me all what I want to play with in one single smooth installation with less than 800 MB of HD space: Normal Workstation with XF86-4, KDE, GNOME, SAMBA with SWAT, linuxconfig-web, Apache WEB server, anonymous FTP Server, Telnet Server, NFS Server... It only took me around 90 minutes to complete all these complicated setup. I start to believe the saying that Mandrake 8.1 is easier than Windows XP. Lol... |
