Why do you need to know that ?

doder 20th Oct 02 10:21 PM

well my box was connected to it thru port 827. i didn't connect there. my hdd was running and "Explorer" was using 45 megs of memory. i didn't think to check if any bandwidth was being used.

Thanks DaveH.

Thanks DaveH.

Checking my firewall preferences and it's good to see that all m$ applications are denied access to the Net. Except of their search engine it also includes all the Office-applications, mediaplayers, osa and other things.

Dave 21st Oct 02 07:18 AM

I thought it was strange myself.
The first time I did a file search I remember my firewall asking for internet access and I denied it.
Sheez, all I wanted to do was search my hard drive, don't need no outgoing connections for that. LOL
(Hope that little doggie isn't too lonely)
