has anyone had a problem with sony's crx175a2 and esaey cd creator?
keep getting an i/o buffer under run error with win98se and amd k3-450 cpu
am tearing my hair out,

Does the sony have buffer underrun protection?

If not...

1. Defrag HD.

2. Burn at slower speed.

3. Try different media.

4. If using XP disable IMAPI.

5. Clean your lens.

If the sony does have underrun protect.

#'s3,4,+5 may still help.

As much as Roxio sux, I can't really
blame it for buffer probs. (maybe
some one else can).

yes it has buffer under-run
defrag'd the drive
windows 98se
brand new drive,5min run time
tried 3 kinds of media and still counting
went down to 4x
updated ez software for new drives from thier site
just might be a bad drive, but it burned once!!!!!!!!!!!

Check your aspi drivers and your dma settings.....aspi should be version 4.60(1021),dated 9/99....
