Judge Rules "Pretty Good Privacy" Key is ... Private

__________ What I mean by "private" is that a judge has ruled that a defendant cannot be forced to give up the encryption key for his hard drive. Without this key, authorities aren't able to decrypt his drive. Now we know why U.K. authorities were asking for a backdoor into Bitlocker-encrypted Windows Vista PCs last year (http://technologyexpert.blogspot.com...ista-pcs.html), right? More... |
