This is a bad problem, I have 2 computers here beside me and one of them will NOT play a mpeg at all. If you click on the mpeg to play it you will get the BSOD. I changed it so as to get the message instead of rebooting.
IRQL_Not_Not_Less_Or_Equal PFN_List_Corrupt. Also most times it will just LOCKUP just after it starts playing a few seconds of the movie, sometimes it will play and have no sound or no picture and then lockup. Both computers are running Xp Corp. Same media player.......even tried the beta on the computer that gives error Two different video cards. The mpeg will play through the network or from harddrive on the comp that will play mpegs. I did a complete reinstall of operating system and it did NO good.....and yeah I was ticked. Any help would be real helpful. 1st 1800Xp+ GeForce2 32 Meg 1000 memory 60g Hd & 15 ~~~~~~~~ 2nd PentIII 1000Mhz 16meg video Ati Rage 3d pro 10 & 6 Gig hd The 2nd one will play anything and the 1st won`t play hardly anything. The 1st has had all codecs applied to fix this. The 2nd has not had anything done but a clean install of Xp. Last edited by Dudelive at Oct 8 2002, 10:17 PM |
