i installed. cakewalks musicians toolbox3. this is a backup copy. it is asking me to put in cd1. i put in cd1 and it keeps asking. this is as far as it goes.
someone said that the cd maybe protected. but to me i think it is only looking for the orginal cd. is there any way around it asking for this. |
Not sure about 'copy protection' as much as not a true ISO. I have Sonar XL2 and if you just drag the files to a desktop folder and burn a copy from the folder, it won't work. You need to make a true 1:1 copy.
This *might* be your prob. Good luck. }---:) |
you allready answered your own question. but you need your original cd to start that program. but maybe you can call that cakewalk help??? if you have your license etc. you can get a new one i think.

If you have a cd image of the program you can allways use daemon tools, its a cd emulator that just loads a cd image and makes your computer thing its a cd drive. it can also emulate safedisk, laserlok, and securom. It works great for games and stuff that need the cd to play. h*tp://www.daemon-tools.com/

Maybe you must put the installation files on the original path where the aplication was instaled from, you may have a setting on some file which "remembers" that location and asks for it. If the instalation medium was a cd, did you had any partition that made your drive letters change?
