Hmmm... ident shouldnt matter that much, it would say ** checking ident and not connection refused. Maybe you tried at a bad time or have the incorrect server details.

Yesterday when I was updating the chat viewer, I had to restart the server a few times during which it would have said that...

accually it should say somthing like **checking ident then give you a responce saying that you don't have it enabled on your client, please enable... somthing like that. I don't know what I was thinking when I posted :o
