Apple to Offer Third-Party iPhone SDK

Today in one of his open letters to the world, on Apple's Hot News (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/) section of their site, Steve Jobs announced that in February of next year, Apple will release a third party SDK to developers, enabling native applications not just on the iPhone but on the iPod Touch.
